There are a number of bedtime bad habits that most of the people repeat it and they didn’t even know that it’s a bad habit and what health problems it causes for a person. They affect the sleeping routine badly and also causes many sleeping issues as well. It will make people restless and insomniac. EATING BEFORE BEDTIME
You should eat your dinner at least 2-3 hours before sleeping and after that, you should avoid eating anything else. Because you are just overeating and it will be difficult for you to digest the food.
EXERCISING BEFORE BEDTIME
Working out daily is a good thing as it will give energy in the meantime and keep you healthy. But if you workout before bed then you will feel difficulty in sleeping.
If you feel that your feet are cold and wet then wear woollen socks to keep them warm otherwise you will be unable to sleep comfortably.
SETTING A DAILY BEDTIME ROUTINE
Make a daily routine before bedtime that will help you to have a good sleep. You can start with bathroom, brushing teeth and then wash your face. Your brain will memorize this routine.
DRINKING COFFEE BEFORE BEDTIME
Don’t even think about drinking coffee before bedtime. You can drink it before 7-8 hours before sleep but avoid drinking it 4-5 hours before sleep. It will make you feel energize and you won’t sleep.
WRONG SLEEPING POSITION
Try to sleep on the side always, it will help you to have a perfectly good night sleep. I know it’s irritating when you have to turn and toss again and again. So select your favourite position in which you feel more comfortable to sleep.
DRINKING WATER BEFORE BED
If you drink water before bed then you might feel difficulty in sleeping as you have to wake up again and again to urinate all night. So try to avoid drinking water before bed.
If you keep taking naps at daytime then it will shut your brain more easily as you also keep sleeping hours for the night.
USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES BEFORE SLEEP
Electronic gadgets near your sleeping areas will disturb your sleep. So try to avoid using phone or laptop an hour before you want to sleep. The brightness wakes up the brain and won’t let you sleep.
According to scientists, reading is also bad before bedtime as it will keep you interested and you continue reading it.
USING ALARM CLOCK WITH BRIGHT DIGITS
Bright digits alarm clocks are just waste of money because it’s light will disturb your sleep. So try to use a dimmer clock.
A LOW-QUALITY MATTRESS
Sleep is necessary for good health so it’s better that you spend a little money and buy a good mattress that will give you a good sleep. Because low-quality mattress will not only disturb your sleep but also cause back problems as well.
