The companies that don’t acknowledge employees’ efforts and don’t pay them the salary that they really deserve, tend to suffer.
We have seen good employees being mistreated by their bosses. Whenever an employee asks for a pay raise or asks for a bonus, the bosses start getting salty as if they have made an unreasonable demand. We believe it’s every employee’s right to ask for a pay raise. Employees put so much effort into their work and when they finally ask for a pay raise or a bonus, the company shuts them out by telling them how incapable they are or with the typical response “you’re replaceable”. Today, we have a story of a capable employee who put all her efforts into the company she was working for last 5 years just to hear how replaceable she is. Scroll down to get into the complete story.
Employees do everything to get a bonus.

OP has been working at this company for the last 5 years.

The owner of the company always had positive reviews for OP with no recommendations for improvement

OP asked the owner what she could do to earn a bonus? The owner replied with something unexpected.

OP called her spouse for advice.

OP’s husband has been on the executive team for the past 21 years.

OP and her husband decided to leave for vacation to relax their minds.

OP decided to resign from the job but before she resigned, the owner terminated her.

OP started a new business offering the same services.

Since OP left, the work environment at her old company suffered and clients were less satisfied.

Three employees were hired to fill OP’s role.

It only took 3 months for OP to build her business and finally be able to hire some of her old teammates.

OP’s old workplace suffered a lot and in some months, they went from hero to zero.

Moral of the story:

We have heard this typical response a thousand times. It is a tactic to manipulate the employee into thinking how they are just one call away from being replaced and how they are not capable of a pay raise and that they need to put more efforts if they want a pay raise. Companies need to consider the fact that bonuses motivate employees to work better and it is better for their companies to have talented employees rather than employees who work at low salaries.
Old employees know more and are more professional than the new ones.

Companies should value their employees and pay them what they deserve.

Companies should look at the reasons why employees are leaving.

People leave when they don’t get the salaries that they deserve.

This person started out fresh out of university as support transitioning into QA and became the number one at his job.

The company started suffering and they laid him off.

He worked 15 years for the company and decided to retire from the industry.

One day, he got a call from his old boss asking for help.

He accepted the offer and together they shut down the old company.

Show them how it’s done.

Love watching Karma do its work.

That’s exactly what you need to do when they tell you “if you don’t want to do it, then you don’t have to work here”:

The business closed within 2 months.

More employees need to show their employers what they are capable of.
