After seeing Pedro Pascal portray the role in a Saturday Night Live comedy, Super Mario fans demanded that he take Chris Pratt’s place in the upcoming movie.
In a parody live-action recreation of the game, Pascal took on the role of the beloved plumber.
The sketch, which features Mario smuggling Princess Peach through a dystopian version of the Mushroom Kingdom, was inspired by HBO’s The Last Of Us, which also stars the actor of Chilean descent.
